Being outdoors is what makes Longscroft special

Our exceptional site boasts separate buildings and gardens for each age group. We also have a large communal playground, and grassed area with a wooden play trail, rabbits, an allotment, and mud kitchen.

Outdoor play is very important to us and we encourage children to go outside in all weathers.

Please look at our rooms and office pages to find out more about our nursery.

How else we care

• We know how important diet is to a child’s development. From the on-site kitchen we offer a full range of home-cooked meals and healthy snacks, prepared daily.

• From the moment your child joins Longscroft we work with you. From working with your child’s key worker to daily journals, we ensure the journey your child takes at Longscroft is shared with you.

• Apart from all the wonderful play and learning, climbing, balancing, sliding and running are always encouraged. From time spent outdoors in the playground or gardens to gym lessons, we take that extra time to guide your child through those all important stages of Development Matters.

Our Ethos

We believe the best start in life involves the best early years care and educational development. Working with your child’s key worker, we aim to enrich your child’s development using the Development Matters. With each child’s personal plan we deliver activities that stimulate their personal and social development; educational play and interactive games; literacy and mathmatics; arts and crafts; and that all important physical education.
